What each input in the chatbot cost calculator means
Six inputs, all your own estimates. If you don’t know a number exactly, start with a sensible guess and change it to see what moves.

How the estimate works
Conversations the agent answers
Your monthly conversations × the share the agent can answer. These are the conversations that could come off your team’s plate.
Hours freed and their cost
Those conversations × minutes each ÷ 60 gives the hours, and hours × your hourly cost gives what they cost you.
Answered replies a month
Conversations the agent answers × answered replies in each. This is the number a plan is measured against.
The plan that covers it
The calculator picks the smallest monthly plan whose included replies cover that number. If it’s more than any plan includes, it suggests talking to us.
What counts as an “answered reply”?
An answered reply is one that gives the customer a real answer from your knowledge or from a connected tool, like a product search. Greetings, “I don’t know” replies, handoffs to your team, and your own playground and test runs are free and don’t count toward your plan.

What the calculator leaves out
It compares staff time with the plan price, nothing more. Before you decide, weigh these too:
- Meta’s WhatsApp fees on an official number: you pay them to Meta through your provider (Twilio, Interakt or 360dialog) with no Gental markup, and they aren’t in the figure.
- Channels: the Free plan is website only and WhatsApp starts on Starter, so pick a plan with your channels even if your replies are lower.
- Reply packs: on paid plans you can add 1,000 extra replies instead of upgrading, while the calculator suggests the bigger plan.
- Yearly billing: the calculator shows monthly prices; paying yearly gives you two months free.
- Conversations the agent hands to your team: those stay with your team, and their time isn’t in the hours freed.
- Time to prepare knowledge and review gaps: small, but real, especially in the first week.

Common questions
How much does an AI chatbot cost on Gental?
You can start free with 50 answered replies a month on your website. Paid plans start with Starter at USD 19 (SAR 69) a month for 600 answered replies. See the pricing page for every plan.
Do I pay for every message the agent sends?
No. Only answered replies count. Greetings, “I don’t know” replies and handoffs to your team are free.
Does the calculator include WhatsApp fees?
No. Meta’s fees on an official WhatsApp number are paid to your provider directly and are separate.
What happens if I go over my plan’s replies?
On paid plans you can add a pack of 1,000 replies or move up a plan. If you need more than the Business plan, talk to us.
Is this an AI chatbot ROI calculator?
It’s a simple version of one: it sets the staff hours routine questions take against the plan price. It doesn’t count sales won or customers kept, so treat it as a starting point.
